Affiliate disclosure
How Shadepick makes money, and why our recommendations are based on colour, not commission.
Shadepick is free for you. To keep it running we use two sources of income, and we want you to know exactly how they work.
Affiliate links
The "Buy this shade", "Buy the full look" and "Buy" buttons are affiliate links. If you click and buy from the store, that store pays us a small commission. You pay the same — the price doesn't change.
Next to every shopping button you'll see the note "Affiliate link".
We work, or may work, with these programmes:
- Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Affiliate networks (such as Awin) for beauty retailers like Notino, Douglas, Primor, Druni, Sephora or Lookfantastic, depending on which ones have approved us at any given time.
We don't show hand-typed Amazon prices: you'll see "See price on Amazon" until we can display the official, up-to-date price.
Advertising
We show Google AdSense ads in content areas, always outside the try-on and the camera, and away from action buttons. You'll never see ads in recording mode or on legal pages.
How we choose what we recommend
- Recommended shades in colour analysis come from a colour calculation: we compare each product's colour code with your season's palette.
- Looks are completed with products that harmonise with the main product (colour temperature, contrast and a minimum difference between shades).
- Any commission we may earn does not affect the order or selection of recommendations.
- If a product isn't available in your country with an active link, we don't show it.
